Remember Shantae? You probably don’t but it’s an amazing Game Boy Colow game that came out a little too late in its system’s life span to get a lot of attention.
Even though almost nobody played this gem of a game, Shantae got a sequel for the DSiWare by Wayforward and that as well is an awesome experience. With the Nintendo 3DS out, DSiWare games being available on the system (and thus Shantae: Risky’s Revenge being available) and the the 3DS featuring a virtual console for the Game Boy and other handheld systems, Wayforward has been asked by fans whether they’d be bringing the original Shantae to said platform. Their answer?
“We have nothing to confirm at this time, but we can say that we are actively pursuing the re-release of ‘Shantae’ on the 3DS Virtual Console. As soon as we have anything to report, we will let you know. Until then, keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter pages for future updates.”
Sounds great! I beat that game not too long ago but if this is released I will definitely buy it. This stuff just deserves everyone’s support!
