eShop to be Available From PCs and Smartphones in the Future

But for now Nintendo chooses to be weird about it.

We know about the upcoming 3DS update that is coming soon and included in that is the first step towards combining your 3DS with your other computational devices by.. letting you scan QR codes from your PC/Smartphone screen with your 3DS in order to open up pages on the eShop on your 3DS so you can buy whatever you were looking for.. what.

Yeah, this doesn’t seem like a large step towards the future, but I guess it means they’re trying? Oh well! An update that will actually let you manage the eShop from your PC or Smartphone will come later, says Nintendo.
