Metal Gear Rising gets a new name and a new developer.
From a leaked trailer that has at this point already been removed from all credited sources it has been found out that Metal Gear Rising is being developed by Platinum games, which is the company responsible for the amazing Bayonetta. The trailer is also said to have featured gameplay and a title change to Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. Sadly, I didn’t get to see any of that, but I trust the people over at Joystiq and Destructoid enough to take this as fact.
As soon as the trailer gets an official reveal I will probably add it to this story.
Update: Here it is. Looks nothing like a Metal Gear and everything like something Platinum Games would make. Considering how fun Bayonetta was and how ridiculous this looks, I guess this will be tons of fun, but I can’t be the only one who expected something a little different.
