Aw hell yeah!
If you haven’t played Super Mario Bros. Crossover yet, you really should! It’s the original Super Mario Bros., except you can play through it as various different characters from the NES, like Mega Man, Samus Aran, Link, Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden and some more. It’s great fun to see how those characters translate into the ultimate classic. There are a couple more features, like difficulty settings and whatnot.
So now we get our first look at Super Mario Bros. Crossover 2.0, which looks like it has all the good things from the current version, but features (optional, it seems,) updated/different graphics, at least two new playable characters (Luigi, Mario’s brother; and Bass from Mega Man) and apparently different skins for the existing cast to make them look different (Mega Man looking like Proto Man etc.). Also, new abilities and so on and so forth. Jay Pavlina, who made this whole thing, obviously put a lot of work and thought into this before putting a 2.0 on it.
His site, explodingrabbit.com is currently suffering under huge traffic, so it’s barely online at all, but check it out regardless!
