Borderlands 2 Announced, Written by Anthony Burch

It has been rumored for quite some time and was never made a secret, but now Borderlands 2 is officially revealed.

Game Informer got the scoop on Gearbox’ next FPS-Action-RPG-thing, some pretty sweet artwork and lots of info and screenshots. Sadly, it doesn’t seem like much of that is out in the open yet, so you’ll either have to wait and see until that happens or buy the September issue of Game Informer when it comes out. Meanwhile Anthony Burch, former writer for Destructoid and now a writer at Geabox Software, has told twitter that he is writing Borderlands 2. I’m not 100% sure that he isn’t trolling, but I can definitely see this being the case. That’s great news not only because he’s a cool dude, but also because he was a video game blogger first, giving hope to everybody that might want to follow that career.

The game is slated for “a release in 2K Games’ fiscal year 2013, which begins April 1, 2012, and ends March 31, 2013.”
